Message: ... and not just the one in the middle o' his foreheid, did make little impression on you, Paul. His surname was spelt HENDRIX.
In the sixties the Doors, to me, were an American group whose one minor hit in the U.K., "Hello, I love you (Won't You Tell Me Your Name?)" was merely the Kinks' "All Day And All Of The Night" with different lyrics but, in the early seventies, a friend at work who was, when it came to the Doors, those vital couple of years younger than I, persuaded me that they deserved greater merit than I had previously given them. I don't know if, at the age you are now, they could impress you but I'd recommened giving them a wee listen again.
In any case, to me, "Sleeping In The Daytime" and "Highpockets" meant Jimmy was himself a rocker.
