Last year, when I'd emphasised to one fellow what a genius JW is, he responded by telling me that Gordon Lightfoot is his favourite of all time. It was his father-in-law (whom I also know) who years ago had introduced him to Gordon Lightfoot and had convinced him how good Gordon Lightfoot is.

As for me, Gordon Lighfoot had a few pleasant tunes but he's not in JW's class - but, then again, imho JW is the very best, having brought more joy to me than Mozart, Rachmaninov, Porter, the lot!
