You're probably right but I happen to like the line because it's uniquely Jimmy Webb, like the song itself. I wish I could I say that about the rest of the 'Suspending Disbelief' album, where to these ears many of the songs sounded like parodies of other writers. But 'I Don't Know How to Love You Anymore', 'Sandy Cove', 'Just Like Always' and 'Adios' could only have been writen by JW.
